Electret Condenser Microphone
Model 817A
9 April 2007
(Screen resolution of 1024 x 768 or better is suggested
for viewing the graphs in this data sheet.)
The 817A is more physically "rugged" than the 817, which it
replaces.
This electret condenser microphone was especially designed to operate
with our model 432 2-channel preamplifier for industrial measurements.
The Panasonic microphone cartridge is housed in a brass tube
(0.313 inch OD) with two outside layers of shrink tubing: a black inner
layer and a clear outer layer. The embedded coaxial cable carries the
audio signal to the preamp and the DC operating voltage from the
preamp. Each microphone is serial numbered and comes with its measured
sensitivity at 1000 Hz.
A 4-foot cable is standard but other lengths
can be ordered at an additional cost. (Please contact the factory for a
quotation.)
OPERATING VOLTAGE:
2 VDC minimum, 2.5 V standard, 10 V maximum and 5 V when used with the
model 432.
